Greek Mural in Astoria

My mom has been a great fan of artistic murals.
And we have so many of them here in Astoria.
Including Greek Mural.

And one summer weekend,  my mom took us to Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria and here's what we saw :).

Greek Mural in Astoria.
My mom said it's filled with Greek Gods and Goddesses.

I remember Zeus and Neptune, and we saw Atlas holding the world as well.
It's very interesting.
I wish we could visit Greece one day.

Do you like art mural as well?
Do you know Greek Gods and Goddesses?

Liberty Statue

We finally go to Liberty Statue and Ellis Island.
Yaaay!

with Liberty Statue

My grandmothers are here so my mom and dad took us all to the Liberty Statue and Ellis Island.

She is huge!

Too bad we didn't get the ticket to the pedestal
But even looking at the Liberty Statue from the ground is already great.

We took the cruise from Battery Park and went to see the Statue.

We walked around the Statue and my mom and my dad took tons of photos.
It was tiring but we saw a lot of beautiful views.

We also had the audio so we could listen to the story.
It was fun!

Have you been to Liberty Statue?

G.R.A.D.U.A.T.I.O.N

The time has come!

We finally finished our 5th grade.
That means we finished our elementary school here in NYC.

It has been such a wonderful experience for me.
I learned a lot!
I love my friends and my teachers.
I love the school and all its staff.
I love my trips.
I love everything.

It was a bitter sweet feeling when we realized that we had finished our days on the fifth grade.
Exciting for the summer break.
Sad that I won't meet some of my friends.

Well, some of them go the same IS with me.
But it's going to be different.

On the Graduation Day, my mom and my dad came.
They lined up early in the morning to get good seat.
They brought me balloon and dancing owl.
Rad!

We also had the farewell for Mrs. Sabel, our principal!
She is such a wonderful principal and we all wish her all the best.

thank you Mrs. Sabel.

I was surprised when they called me to the podium and I was awarded with State of New York Attorney General Award for Triple C Award, Commitment, Character, and Courage.

It has been a great experience.

Thank you to all my teachers and friends.
Everyone in PS 122.
My family as well!

And all the best for 6th grad!

5th Grade Trip to Yankee Stadium

Have you visited Yankee Stadium?

I have!

And I went there together with my friends from the 5th grade, my class 5-510.
It was really a fun trip.
We took the bus from school, everybody was so ready to explore.

Yankee Stadium is super cool!
I haven't really played baseball but looking at this giant stadium make me feel so great!

We had a tour guide telling us about the history of this place.
And some great players New York Yankees, like Babe Ruth, as well as some important people who had been working very hard to make NY Yankees great!

We saw the field and again it was huge!

We certainly had so much fun there!
My teachers and the other 5th grade class, 5-512, were enjoying it, too.
Here are some of our group photos.

Yankee Stadium is a great place indeed!
Will you visit this place?

Roblox Toys

Who loves Roblox here?

I do, I do.

Roblox is one of my favorite games.
I like it because it's fun and it has a lot of variety of games inside.
And you can play it with your friends.
Plus, it makes me feel creative!

I play Roblox on the weekend.

My mom and dad let me play only on weekend.
And that's after reading my book for at least 1 hour.
Well, fair enough.

My favorite games in Roblox is Phantom Forces and Jail Break.

My sister plays it too.

Most of the time we play together.

Sometimes she beats me, sometimes I do.

I also have my friends online, like my friends from school.

Recently, my mom allowed me and my sister to buy the Roblox toys.
So my sister and I chose Mr. Bling and Dark Overload.

You can guess who he is, right.

We like these characters!

Do you like Roblox, too?
What is your favorite game in Roblox?
Do you like its toys as well?

Ramadhan 2017

We just finished Ramadhan!

Yaaaay...

It is the month when we don't eat or drink during the day.
Well, actually from so early in the morning, at around 3.45 AM, until sunset at 8.30 PM
It was a long day!

Mom said it is the holly month for Muslims like us.
And we need to train ourselves to control our hunger, thirst and emotion.
And also to share the feeling of being like the poor people who are not so lucky like us.
I like the idea

It is not easy at all.
Especially as it's summer in NYC.
I also have to wake up sooooo early in the morning, eat, pray, sleep again, then wake up to get ready for school.
But after long days, I managed to finished it.
I broke my fast around 6 days, mostly because of my activities at school or because of the heat!

My sister also learnt it, although she was only 7.
She started the same like us, but finish the fasting earlier, as long as she can handle it.
My parents didn't really force her to finish it if she could not handle it.

Now that we have finished the fasting month, I can't wait to celebrate it!

Spring Break 2017

Hi, everyone!

How's your spring break?

Mine is good.
Well, a bit of combination of good and boring haha.

During the spring break this year, we went to Canada and Upstate New York.
Its kind of boring, a bit, because there's no visit to the theme parks like our trip last year, but at least I made it. Yaaay.

My mom's photo at Ottawa, Canada

In Canada, we went to Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Niagara on the Lakes, Niagara Falls on the Canadian side.

I love those cities.
They all are different.
For example, in Quebec City, we saw the old European buildings and castles.

In Montreal we walked around the Old City and went to see the beautiful old church.
In Ottawa, we went to the Parliament and met our friends from Jakarta.

In Toronto, we went to the high tower, had lunch, and saw concert with mama and Bapak.

But at Niagara Falls ,I kind of like it there. The Falls is great!
It is huge!
The hotel was good but not really, compared to our previous hotels.

Then, when we got home we went to Boston, the home of America.

The first place we went to was Bunker Hill Monument, a really nice person told us about this two hour parking for free. There is residents parking, but were not residents of Boston so we will get charged.

But I will tell you our story in Boston later, okay.
