Swimming at Crystal Bay, Nusa Penida

Welcome to Crystal Bay, Nusa Penida

I love swimming!

It is indeed one of my favorite sports and whenever I can, I will definitely do it. I guess I have been swimming when I was a baby and my mom told me I love it since the very first time I tried it!

Well who wouldn’t? It is definitely one of the great sports I love doing whenever I have time. And that includes swimming at the pool or in any bodies of water, like the ocean and river.

On our last trip to Bali in 2020, I swam a lot.

Well, almost every day! Even when I still had classes, I could go swimming afterwards in the hotel where we were staying. That is why I love our vacation in Bali.

Then in our trip to Nusa Penida, we also got a chance to go to Crystal Bay. Before that, we managed to come to the Kelinking beach, Angel’s Billabong as well as broken Beach. I shared that in my previous post.

In Crystal Bay, we finally swim in it was a lovely spot because it’s clean and water is cool. Since we have been walking and hiking a lot in the morning to see the other spots before, it was really refreshing to finally get into the water.

The beach was not so crowded and that is good because then we can swim comfortably. On that day, the waves and current were quite strong but I have to admit that my sister and I had a lot of fun chasing the waves. Our mom was a bit worried looking at the strong and crashing waves but we kept our swimming inside of the safety perimeter and we didn’t go too far either. I guess we really had to be careful as the under current could drag you away and you didn’t know what underneath the water.

The bay has a few islands surrounding it and we saw many boats around. Perhaps those were the one heading to snorkeling 🤿 spots. It would be good if we could try snorkeling here as well if the weather permits. I guess we just have to go back there again soon.

Well, what do you think?

Will you visit Nusa Dua and swim in Crystal Bay as well?

See you in the next post!

See you soon, Crystal Bay
