Spring Break 2017

Hi, everyone!

How's your spring break?

Mine is good.
Well, a bit of combination of good and boring haha.

During the spring break this year, we went to Canada and Upstate New York.
Its kind of boring, a bit, because there's no visit to the theme parks like our trip last year, but at least I made it. Yaaay.

In Canada, we went to Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Niagara on the Lakes, Niagara Falls on the Canadian side.

I love those cities.
They all are different.
For example, in Quebec City, we saw the old European buildings and castles.

In Montreal we walked around the Old City and went to see the beautiful old church.
In Ottawa, we went to the Parliament and met our friends from Jakarta.

In Toronto, we went to the high tower, had lunch, and saw concert with mama and Bapak.

But at Niagara Falls ,I kind of like it there. The Falls is great!
It is huge!
The hotel was good but not really, compared to our previous hotels.

Then, when we got home we went to Boston, the home of America.
The first place we went to was Bunker Hill Monument, a really nice person told us about this two hour parking for free. There is residents parking, but were not residents of Boston so we will get charged. 

But I will tell you our story in Boston later, okay.

The Tests

Something special came in April.

Can you guess what it is?

It's the tests.

ELA and Math tests.

For two weeks we would be having these tests at school.

For me, it would be the second time.

Last year, I had it for the first time.
in 2014, I didn't have it because it was the first year that I came to school in NYC 

I think I can do the test.

Well, at least I tried to answer all the questions. 

Mama and Bapak gave me a lot of extra exercise before the test.
I guess it helped.
At least I can try and get used to the test.

Even though the paper said that your child needs to rest and not study,
and I lost all my TV and video game time!

The questions on the test were not that hard,
but the only thing I hated was the article.
It was long and sometimes it has difficult words.
I hope I made a good mark for it :).

The good thing is, after the test we will have spring break!
That means holiday, yaaay.

But in the spring brake we went to Canada and its
kind of boring, at least I made it.

I will tell you more on the next post, okay.

Lake Powell, Page, Arizona

Do you like cruising on the lake?
We had a great experience in Lake Powell, Page, Arizona, spring last year.

I know, Mama and Bapak has taken us to another Spring Break road trip.
But I really like of boat tour trip in Lake Powell.

do you like it?

We visited the city of  Page because Bapak wanted to visit Horseshoe Bend.

That place is really beautiful.

But we have to hike for about 30 minute :).

Not bad because after that we saw wonderful view. 

So, after Horseshoe Bend, Mama and Bapak took us to the boat trip.

Lake Powell is big.

I love the rocks around the lake.

So majestic.

When we had our bot tour, the sky was nice and blue.
It was really a great day!

We really had a great trip.

Before getting on the boat, we had our lunch at the marina.

So, that's Lake Powell in Page, Arizona.

Viva Las Vegas

It's me again!

And you know what? I still have so many stories from our last Spring Break.
I hope you don't mind me telling all these stories now.

I just want to share our 2-short days in las Vegas.
Before we went to Grand Canyon.

We flew from NYC to Chicago for a transit.
Then we flew again to Las Vegas.

Mama said our hotel in LV is nice.
It's the Holiday Inn resort and I love the spacious rooms and kitchen plus its swimming pool. It was still a bit cool but we have the heated pool. So My sister and I really enjoyed it/
My mama, too.

We didn't really go places here.
Just driving around the city and stopping at the famous Las Vegas sign.
My mama really wanted to take pictures there.
I was hungry at that time!

Then we went around the city again.
Bought some souvenirs and took more pictures.

After that we were heading to Page, another city that we visited during that trip.
Will get back with more stories here.

Grand Canyon is cool

Have you been to Grand Canyon before?

It's really cool.
I mean really cool because it is huge and I can see so many great views from the top.

We went there last spring.
During the spring break.
It was me, Obi my sister, Mama my mom and Bapak my dad. The four of us.

I know it's already Fall but mama said I can still write about my story last spring :).

We had a long road trip, starting from Las Vegas.
We flew from NYC.
I love the flight. I guess we stopped in Chicago and continued the flight to Las Vegas.
From Las Vegas, Bapak, my dad, rent a car, a lovely mini van, for our trip to many places.
My mom said we're flying back to NYC from San Fransisco.

We went to Grand Canyon last spring.
Bapak drove the car from the city of Page.
I think it was about 4 hours. I don't really remember.
It is another cool place for us.

I like Page and Lower Antelope Canyon.

Never ever I saw such an incredible place.

Mama said I can write about it separately.

So, back to Grand Canyon.

We spent 1 full day there and it was super cold when we were there.

It was even snowy :)

Together with my mom, dad and my sister, we stopped on so many points.

For the first ones, we drove our car.

Then after that, we took the bus.

My dad said we went to the South Rim.

We went to the tower as well and see the Indian drawings.

It's beautiful. And mysterious.

I wanted to know the meaning of the pictures.

But I didn't know where to ask.

Then we continued our trip to the points.

So many points, I didn't catch the names.

We saw so many beautiful cliffs, canyons, and like small mountains.

It's colorful and beautiful.

It was really a great trip!

Do you like Pokemon?

My friends Chiara, and Damian inspired me to play pokemon which is a card game where you have to battle with your cards.

Do you know Pokemon?
Have you seen them on TV?
Or...do you also play Pokemon GO :)?

But this is not about Pokemon Go.
It's about the trading and games we have with the cards.

Pokemon stands for Pocket Monsters.
They are cool!
And there are many types of them.
Each of them have their own skills and combat power. They come in different shapes, colors and sounds as well.

There are many different stages of pokemon.

There are 1 basic, 2 stage 1. 3 stage 2, stage 2 is the final evolution.

Pokemon are made up animals to fight. 
There are many different types of pokemon like grass, water, fire, metal, physic, fighting, and other types. check out these pokemon! 

My favorite pokemon is Trevenant because he is an EX which means he is strong. 
I like all the mega's because their attacks are powerful to knock all you're opponents pokemon.

Before I can buy a set of cards, I have to collect some money and help my mom with some household chores. I read books as well to get more points.

I guess I will get back with more stories and pokemons.

Long and tiring, but really nice

I'll tell it was awesome like the lions den, the girl, and dinosaur tracks.

The canyon is so good.
Very unique.
Some rocks look scary, some look funny. The rocks look awesome to
me because they keep changing over the years.
Look at them...

We went underground to see the beautiful rocks.
Some of the stairs were so steep. I was worried.
But I finally went down alright.
My sister as well.

My mom and dad took a lot of photos.

Arizona is so hot.

It's like Indonesia.

I like it. NYC is too cold sometimes.
